the inverted crescent commonly found in the squash blossom necklaces of the Navajo people, but is a symbol that can be found in jewelry and adornment as far back as the paleolithic period. Used here, emblazoned with the image of a hawk, it is a talisman of clear sightedness, courage, wisdom and illumination.
these pieces are etched with an original drawing & crafted by hand in yellow brass and measures 1"across. the ear wires are 14c gold fill, 22 gauge & hand-formed.
